Northern Kentucky Pickleball League
About Us
The Northern Kentucky Pickleball League was started in May 2024. The season runs from late May to August. There are dedicated divisions for men and women and players enjoy a flexible week-long window to schedule matches at their preferred time and location. Pickleball games are played as doubles matches. Scores are promptly reported to the league coordinator for live updates on the webpage scoreboard and standings. The season ends in August with a tournament to determine the ultimate champions. Rules
General Pickleball Rules
Home team will take first serve. On first serve only one player on the team gets to serve. Once the serving team loses a point the serve will go to the other team. From then on both players on a team will serve before the serve switches. The first serve for a team always starts with the player on the right.Points can only be scored when the team is serving.Both the serve and return have to bounce before being hit. After that balls can be hit out of the air.A player can not step into the kitchen to hit a ball unless the ball first bounces in the kitchen.When calling out the score in a match you will say your teams points, the opponents points, and then which serve you are on. For example if you are winning 5 to 3 and you are the first person to serve on your team for this round of serving you would call out 5-3-1.Balls on the line are considered in.Games are played to 11 win by 2.

Information
Matchups are scheduled weekly. The two teams can work together to play at a time and place that works for both teams. If you will be out of town for an entire week you may play your matchup a week early or a week late. Suggested locations can be found below
Men's League: Best 3 out of 5 games
Women's League: Best 2 out of 3 gamesEntry Fee: $20 per team
Payouts: Payouts 1st place $140, 2nd place $40
After you play your matchup report scores to the league through the score input form (found below). The league coordinator will then update the scoreboard and standings. If you find an issue with the live scoreboard or standings please reach out to Luke Williams
